Tasting Notes

Pretty young wine, with blackberry and chocolate aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, with soft, velvety tannins and a medium finish. Score range: 85-89.

James Suckling

Deep garnet hue. The nose is reticent but well defined with some fine black, brambly fruit and good delineation. The palate is structured, perhaps just a little dry but well defined and focused with a stoic, foursquare finish that displays good breeding (as so often with Chasse Spleen.) Good potential as a "gentleman's claret". Tasted April 2008.
